There are three costs associated with getting medical cannabis in Virginia.
1. Evaluation fee – This is the service we provide at Virginia Cannabis Cards. The initial evaluation fee ranges from $150 and $200 for most providers in Virginia. The telehealth visit involves reviewing your medical history and current symptoms with your Virginia Board of Pharmacy-registered practitioner. If your clinician determines that you may benefit from medical cannabis, then you will receive a certification for medical cannabis.
2. Virginia Board of Pharmacy registration fee – Once you have your certification from your clinician, you must register with the Virginia Board of Pharmacy and pay a fee of $50.
3. Medical cannabis costs – The cost of cannabis depends on your needs and will vary from one dispensary to another. Some dispensaries will publish their prices online.
