What’s Really Happening With Recreational Sales in Alexandria
Virginia’s adult-use retail framework became law through the June 2026 state budget compromise, with recreational sales targeted for July 1, 2027 and license applications opening the previous February. Until that date, the only legal way to buy cannabis products from an Alexandria dispensary is through Virginia’s medical marijuana program.
